The Kendall Bayne Scholarship Fund

The Kendall Bayne Foundation, Inc. is proud to offer an annual $2,500 college scholarship. The scholarship is available to high school seniors who live in the Roanoke Valley and attend a school in Roanoke City, Roanoke County, or Salem City.

Kendall was a Cave Spring High School graduate who emulated Elbert Hubbard’s quote, “When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.” We chose this quote as our 500 word essay topic.

Eligibility Overview

  • Current high school seniors in the Roanoke Valley, including Roanoke County, Roanoke City, and Salem City schools
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Engagement in community service
  • 500 word essay
  • Accepted to and enrolling full-time in an accredited, U.S. undergraduate program
  • View full eligibility requirements

Award: $2,500

Due Date: Turn in all required application materials to your guidance office by March 1.
